Estheticians in the Vanguard Directory
Estheticians care for skin: facials matched to skin type, chemical peels, dermaplaning, microdermabrasion, extractions, LED and high-frequency treatments, waxing and sugaring, and lash and brow tinting. Many work solo in a suite, others inside a salon or spa. Visitors come to this page with adult acne, dull or sun-damaged skin, a wedding date, or a desire for someone to build a routine around their products.
Every state licenses estheticians, and the license must be displayed, so ask to see it; a few states offer an advanced or master esthetician license for deeper treatments. Ask what brands and strengths they use, how they would handle your skin concern, whether a patch test comes before a peel, and what aftercare is expected. A first visit normally starts with a consultation. Pricing is per treatment, with series packages for peels and acne programs. Injectables, lasers and prescription-strength treatments require medical supervision, which is the domain of med spas; for a full day of treatments, day spas employ estheticians alongside massage therapists.
The estheticians on this page wrote their own listings, and a person reviewed each before it was published. If you practice esthetics, apply to get listed — free, and a few minutes of your time.
